good game sharkscope
today, for the first time ever, i blocked my sharkscope stats, and not for the reasons most players do.
i was talking to fellow poker player on skype a few minutes ago and he told me that he had just blocked his username on sharkscope. i’ve known other players to do this and i’ve never understood why. some care about other people knowing how much they’ve made, and some are embarrassed by their results and don’t want others to think they are bad players. but that wasn’t why this guy blocked his.
he told me that he was tired of being consumed by looking at it.
this actually made a lot of sense to me.
i’ve definitely been having a lot of confidence issues with my game recently and looking at my horrendous graph can’t be doing me much good. if anything it probably hurts my confidence. i know i’m a winning player so why would i want to look at some stupid stats that tell me otherwise?
so there you have it. me and sharkscope are done. thanks for the memories. it’s not me, it’s you. etcetera, etcetera.
